Answers to the questions buyers ask us most — about the homes, what is included, delivery, site preparation and payment.
Buying a home
What exactly am I buying?
A factory-built home, delivered to your site. Depending on the model that means a tiny house, a modular or mobile home, a prefab cabin, a travel trailer, or a kit home you assemble. Each product page lists the dimensions, the materials, the certification, and precisely what's included.
What's the difference between your categories?
Tiny homes are compact standalone dwellings, often on a trailer chassis. Modular homes arrive as finished sections and are joined on a permanent foundation. Mobile homes are built to a transportable standard and set on a pad or piers. Prefab cabins are recreational-grade structures for guest, office or getaway use. Kit homes ship as a flat-packed package you or a contractor assemble. Travel trailers are road-legal and towable.
Can I customise a home?
On most models, yes — layout, exterior and interior finishes, cabinetry, fixtures and appliance packages. Options and their cost are listed per model and itemised on your quote. Structural changes are assessed case by case.
Can I see one in person?
We don't currently operate a public showroom. We provide full specifications, photography and video for every model, and we'll answer any question in writing. If you're near [PLACEHOLDER: location] we can sometimes arrange a viewing — ask.
How do I order?
Request a quote from any product page. We'll confirm the specification, delivery address and total in writing. Once you approve the quote, we take a deposit and schedule production.
Pricing and payment
Are the prices on the site final?
Listed prices are for the model as specified, before delivery. Delivery is quoted separately because it depends on distance and site access. Options and upgrades are added at the prices shown. Your written quote shows the complete total.
What payment methods do you accept?
[PLACEHOLDER: payment methods — to be confirmed once gateway accounts are set up.]
How much is the deposit?
[PLACEHOLDER: deposit terms, e.g. "A 20% deposit confirms your order and schedules production. The balance is due before dispatch."]
Are there hidden fees?
No. Everything we charge appears on your quote before you pay anything. Costs we don't charge — permits, foundation work, utility connections, local contractors — are listed on the quote as your responsibility so there are no surprises.
Do you offer financing?
[PLACEHOLDER: financing terms, or "We don't currently offer in-house financing. Many buyers use a personal loan, RV loan or chattel mortgage — we'll supply the documentation your lender needs."]
Is sales tax included?
[PLACEHOLDER: tax treatment by region.]
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
[PLACEHOLDER: delivery region.] Delivery cost and lead time are quoted with your order.
How long does it take?
Production typically takes [PLACEHOLDER: X–Y weeks] from deposit, with delivery after that depending on distance. Your quote gives a specific window, and we update you as production progresses.
How does the home arrive?
On a flatbed or lowboy trailer, depending on the model. Your site needs clear access for a vehicle of that size — we'll confirm the dimensions and turning requirements before delivery day.
Do I need equipment to unload it?
For most models, yes. Depending on size and configuration you'll need a crane or forklift at the delivery address. We tell you what's required well in advance so you can book it locally.
What happens on delivery day?
The home is delivered and placed. Someone must be on site to receive it and sign off. We ask you to inspect for transit damage before the driver leaves, and to photograph anything you're unsure about.
What if something is damaged in transit?
Report it within [PLACEHOLDER: X days] with photographs and we'll arrange repair or replacement of the affected components. See our Shipping & Delivery page for the full procedure.
Your site, permits and setup
Do you install the home?
No. We deliver and place it. Foundation work, utility connections, tie-downs and final set are done by local contractors you engage.
Do I need a permit?
Almost certainly, and the requirements vary by county and sometimes by parcel. Check with your local planning or building department before you order. We supply the model's specifications and certification documents to support your application.
Can I put one in my backyard?
That depends entirely on your local ADU rules — minimum lot size, setbacks, utility connections and occupancy restrictions all vary. Confirm with your municipality first.
What site preparation is needed?
At minimum, a level, compacted, properly drained pad or foundation sized for the model, and clear vehicle access. Foundation requirements are listed on each product page.
Can I live in it full-time?
Depends on the model and your jurisdiction. Models built to a residential construction standard are generally intended for permanent occupancy; recreational cabins and travel trailers often are not. Each product page states the model's certification — check it against your local rules.
The homes themselves
Are they insulated?
Yes. Insulation specification is listed per model, and several models offer upgraded packages for cold or hot climates.
Do they include plumbing and electrical?
Most models ship with plumbing and electrical roughed in or fully installed — check the model's specification. Final connection to mains or tanks is done on site by a licensed local trade.
Are appliances included?
It varies by model and package. Each product page lists exactly what ships with the home.
Can they run off-grid?
Several models are solar-ready, with pre-engineered roof mounting and pre-wired battery provision. Water tanks and composting toilets are available as options on selected models. Panels, batteries and inverters are not included unless the listing says so.
How long will one last?
With normal maintenance, a well-built compact home has a comparable service life to conventional construction. Materials and warranty terms are listed per model.
What warranty do they carry?
[PLACEHOLDER: warranty terms.]
