The Alder Cabin

The Alder is our standard guest cabin: two hundred and forty square feet, fully insulated, with a bathroom and a kitchenette already plumbed.

One open room with a sleeping area at the rear and a seating area at the front, divided by a low cabinet run rather than a wall. The kitchenette has a sink, a two-burner cooktop, an under-counter refrigerator and four feet of counter. The bathroom is a sealed wet room with a shower, basin and flush toilet.

A covered porch runs across the front under an extended roof, deep enough for two chairs out of the rain.

It is sold as a recreational building rather than a dwelling, which keeps it outside residential permitting in many areas — but not all, and that is worth checking before you order.
