The Hazel was drawn as a studio rather than a cabin, and the difference shows in the glazing. The entire gable end is glass, floor to ridge, facing whichever direction you specify at order.
Three hundred and twenty square feet of open floor with no structural columns, a ceiling that follows the roof pitch, and a bathroom and kitchenette tucked into the rear corner so they take nothing from the main volume.
It works as a painting or pottery studio, a music room, a yoga space, a consulting room, or simply as the nicest room on a property. It also sleeps two comfortably when it needs to.
The glazing is triple-glazed and low-E, which it needs to be at that area, and the roof is insulated to R-38 to compensate.
R-24 walls, R-38 roof, 30-amp service, pier or slab foundation.
